A day when all who enjoyed the festivities where charmed and skittled out!
DRINK AND BE MERRY, EAT AND BE CONTENT, DANCE AND BE HAPPY
Battle Medieval Fayre opened its gates to the whole of Sussex and England - and it seems its charms could not be resisted as all those who came enjoyed the authentic mix of Medieval costumes, games, stalls and dancing.
There was delicious hog roast to enjoy with wine, cider and local fruit juices. Pretty maidens and handsome fellas danced there way round the Maypole - and chanced their hand to win some of the prizes by jousting with the local games.
What more could anyone have wanted?
Fudge, of course!!!
All your favourite fudges were on hand and quickly snapped up - including Baileys, Rum and Raisin, Coffee and Cream, Ginger, Creamy Vanilla, Walnut and Maple Syrup, Crumbly Tablet, Coconut Ice, Afterdinner Mint, Lemon Ice (new flavour), Liquorice, Double Chocolate, Chocolate Orange, Belgium Chocolate, Cherry and Almond (new flavour), Rum Truffle, Pistachio (new flavour).
Our nostalgic range of traditional and modern sweets, like aniseed balls, clove balls, coconut mushrooms, Grays teacake, all flavour bonbons, toffee crumble, Dip Dabs, popping candy, and lots more, were snapped up as quickly as we could supply them.
Altogether a wonderful day out in a wonderful setting. Three cheers for the hardworking organisers.
